Box Score On Monday night, the CCC men's basketball team played at East Central Community College.
ECCC led 20-4 with 13:57 to play in the first half, but Coahoma responded by methodically trimming the deficit. The score was tied 38-38 at halftime.
In the second half, East Central once again took a double-digit lead. CCC trailed 71-57 with 7:34 remaining. The Tigers recorded a 9-0 run, which featured points from
Mook Harris,
Quan Brown, and
Jayleon Johnson. The score was 71-66 in favor of ECCC with 4:23 left to play.
Coahoma's
Ben Galmore connected on three 3-pointers in the game's final minutes, and the Tigers picked up an 82-80 victory.
Brown had an impressive performance with 30 points and 18 rebounds. Galmore scored 24 points off 6-of-11 shooting from 3-PT range. Harris recorded 10 points, four rebounds, and four assists.
CCC's record is now 3-4 this season; East Central is 2-4.
The Tigers' next game is against the Royal Ambassadors on Thursday, Dec. 2, at 6:00 p.m.
