Box Score On Monday night, the Coahoma Community College men's basketball team opened its season with a home game against Northwest Mississippi Community College.
The NWCC Rangers began the game with an 8-2 run, but CCC responded promptly to take an 11-10 lead over Northwest. The teams exchanged the lead, but the Rangers led 44-31 at halftime.
Eight players scored for Coahoma in the opening half, which featured six points each from sophomores
Mook Harris,
Quan Brown, and
Jo Perez.
In the second half, Brown led all scorers with 11 points for the Tigers. CCC remained balanced offensively as six players scored off field goals.
Despite Coahoma's efforts, the Rangers extended their lead in the second half to win the game 84-60.
The Tigers' next game is on Monday, Nov. 8, against Mississippi Delta in a home game for CCC.
