Coahoma Tigers Dominate in Season-Opening Games

The Coahoma Community College Tigers Men's Basketball Team began their season with two impressive victories at The Pinnacle, demonstrating both offensive firepower and defensive prowess. 

The Tigers (2-0) secured wins against Southeast Missouri Prep on November 2 and Lemoyne Owen College JV on November 4, signaling a promising start to the season.

In their first game, Coahoma defeated Southeast Missouri Prep 87-68. Coahoma held a five-point lead at halftime (41-36) and extended their dominance in the second half, outscoring the visitors 46-32. 

Louzavious Thomas led the team with 16 points, supported by Jeremiah Davis's efficient shooting, going 6-7 from the field and scoring 17 points. 

Coahoma shot 48.5% from the field, with strong rebounding efforts led by Jonathan Noudjihidi, who contributed 12 boards.

The Tigers continued their strong form against Lemoyne Owen College JV, securing a decisive 105-55 victory. 

The team showcased balanced scoring, with five players scoring in double figures. 

Louzavious Thomas led again with 21 points and 10 rebounds, and Jaidyn Rankins and RiCarvis Waters contributed 14 and 13 points, respectively. 

The Tigers shot 55.8% from the field and recorded 26 assists, highlighting their cohesive team play.

Coahoma looks to build on this strong start as they continue their season, with high hopes for another successful year.
