Coahoma drops series at Jones College

The CCC baseball team played in a doubleheader at Jones College on Saturday, March 25. The Tigers scored just three runs in the series as Jones won the doubleheader.

Coahoma registered three hits in the opening game, while JC tallied six. Jones led 5-0 after two innings of play. The score was even from that point, but CCC fell 7-2 in nine innings.

In the second game, Coahoma only allowed Jones to score in two innings. Despite this, a nine-run inning was registered in the fifth inning as JC won 13-1 in seven innings.

The Tigers are now 3-23 (0-10 MACCC) this season; Jones is 24-6 (9-1 MACCC).

CCC hosts East Mississippi on Wednesday, March 29, at noon in a doubleheader.
