The CCC women's basketball team closed out its 2022-23 regular season with a matchup at Pearl River on Thursday. Despite their efforts, the Lady Tigers fell short 61-47 against a PRCC team that has only been defeated twice this season.
Tiara Abron was CCC's leading scorer with 12 points, while also registering six assists and two steals. Tiara was 3-of-7 from 3-PT range. Coahoma had 12 assists in the game.
Janiya Jones tallied eight points and two steals for the Maroon and White.
Mackenzie Carter tallied eight points as well, while going 2-of-3 from 3-PT range.
Elishia Wilson and
Jamyia Bowen combined to record 13 points and 10 rebounds for the Triple C.
Sequoia Bouldin,
Jamea Smith, and
Tiana Abron also scored for CCC.
The Lady Tigers are now 12-9 (8-6 MACCC) this season; Pearl River is 22-2 (12-2 MACCC). Coahoma's next game will take place in the postseason.
