The CCC women's basketball team played at Northeast Mississippi on Monday, Feb. 14.

Coahoma trailed 16-9 after the opening quarter, but responded by outscoring NEMCC 21-8 in the second quarter. At halftime, CCC led 30-24. Each team recorded 34 points in the second half, which made the final score 64-58 in favor of the Coahoma Lady Tigers.

Tiara Abron, Nakia Cheatham, and Elishia Wilson each scored at least 11 points for CCC. Wilson tallied 17 points, eight rebounds, and five steals. Cheatham recorded a double-double with 15 points and 13 rebounds.

The CCC Lady Tigers are now 15-5 (9-3 MACCC) this season; Northeast Mississippi is 5-17 (3-10 MACCC).

Coahoma's next game is scheduled to be against Pearl River at the Pinnacle on Thursday, Feb. 17. That matchup is slated to begin at 6:00 p.m.
