The Lady Tigers fall short against TJC

The CCC women's basketball team faced Tyler Junior College on Friday, Nov. 4, 2022, at Baton Rouge Community College.

The matchup marked games on back-to-back days for Coahoma as the Lady Tigers defeated Southern University-Shreveport last night 73-55. Today's matchup against TJC started at 11:00 a.m.

CCC's Tiara Abron scored eight points in the opening quarter; including two 3-pointers. Coahoma trailed 18-17 after the first quarter. TJC extended its lead in a low-scoring second quarter as Tyler led 31-26 at halftime.

Sequoia Bouldin and Elishia Wilson combined to score all 15 of CCC's points in the third quarter. Despite Coahoma's efforts; TJC tallied 29 points in the third quarter. Tyler went on to win the game 74-53.

The Lady Tigers were led in scoring by Elishia Wilson, who recorded 18 points.

Coahoma is now 1-1 (0-0 MACCC) this season. The Lady Tigers' next game is scheduled to be at East Mississippi on Thursday, Nov. 10, at 6:00 p.m.
