The CCC women's basketball team plays against Southwest Mississippi Community College tonight, Jan. 24, at 6:00 p.m.

The Lady Tigers enter tonight's game with a three-game winning streak having defeated Meridian 49-42, Mississippi Gulf Coast 70-50, and Northwest Mississippi 66-44.

Tonight's matchup will be Coahoma's eighth away game of the season. The Lady Tigers' most recent away game featured a 20-point victory over MGCCC, which occurred in the middle of CCC's current winning streak.

Coahoma outscored Gulf Coast by a total of 28 points throughout the second and third quarters of that matchup. CCC is 5-2 in away games this season.

As for today's opponent, SMCC has won seven of its past nine games. Sophomore guards Shylia McGee and Gabby Bunch are each averaging at least 11 points per game for the Lady Bears this season.

The CCC Lady Tigers are 11-3 (5-1 MACCC) this season; Southwest Mississippi is 10-5 (5-1 MACCC). Tonight's game will be streamed via SMCC.
