CLARKSDALE — CCC Baseball stayed red hot Monday, sweeping a doubleheader vs. the Central Baptist College JV 8-1 and 17-2 at the Eddie C. Smith Sportsplex. The team will next participate in the Northwest Invitational in Senatobia on March 11th.
Hunter Wilson starred for the Tigers offensively in the doubleheader, racking up 3 hits and 5 RBIs while scoring 2 runs. Landon Fullilove registered 4 hits over the 2 games, adding 2 stolen bases, 3 runs and 2 RBIs. Marquellus Edgeston added 4 hits, 3 RBIs, and 2 runs of his own. Zach Gilder finished with 4 hits and 4 RBIs. 
Eduardo Munoz and Bryan Pala each picked up wins on the mound for the Tigers. Munoz held the Mustangs to 5 hits and 1 run while striking out 5 and walking 0. The win was the 3rd of the season for the righty from Panama City, Panama. Bryan Pala pitched 2 frames, picking up 2 strikeouts while surrendering 2 hits on his way to his 2nd win of the year in Game 2. 
CCC racked up 6 doubles over the course of the doubleheader as a team. The Tigers put an exclamation point on the offensive explosion with a 10-run 3rd inning in Game 2, assuring that the game would be abbreviated via run rule to just 5 innings.
Coahoma travels to Senatobia Saturday to participate in the Northwest Invitational. The team will take on the Rangers at 3 pm and 6 pm in a day-night twinbill.
