CLARKSDALE—The Tigers fell to the NWCC Rangers 111-83 Thursday night. Willie Bronson, Da'Quan Forrest, Cadarrius Cannon, and Cameron Monix all finished in double figures for the Tigers.

The Rangers came out hot, scoring the game's first 17 points and never looking back. They got big time performances from LaJustin Anderson and Tyrin Jones, who combined for 18 points in the first period. As a team, NWCC shot 52% from the field over the game's first 20 minutes. 

Bronson scored 13 of his 20 in the 2nd for CCC. The Belzoni native has now scored 10+ points in 8 of the last 9 games. Monix, the sophomore Lee Academy graduate, got into double figures for the fourth consecutive contest.

Cadarrius Cannon had a breakout game, contributing 13 points to more than double his previous season high. The Leland native finished 5 of 6 from the field and 2 of 2 from beyond the arc. Da'Quan Forrest knocked also knocked down multiple 3's for the Tigers. The freshman finished with 3 triples. He has now sunk at least 3 3-pointers in 5 of the last 6 games.

NWCC took a 58-29 lead into the locker rooms. The Tigers outscored the Rangers 54-53 in the 2nd, but in the end, it was the 10th win of the year for Northwest.

The Tigers will continue to seek their 1st MACJC North division win next week at NEMCC. Tipoff at Northeast is scheduled for Monday, February 16th at 7 pm. The start time is subject to change due to potential inclement weather in the Booneville area. A firm start time will be decided this weekend.
