Tigers Downed By EMCC Lions In Rematch

Monix, Bronson, Forrest all in double figures for CCC

SCOOBA—The Tigers could not stop the early long distance assault from the Lions of EMCC Monday night and ultimately fell in Scooba by a final of 90-77. Cameron Monix poured in a personal season-best 19 points, and Willie Bronson and Da'Quan Forrest each finished with 15.

East Mississippi was hot from deep early. Guard Antonio Finley lit up the Tigers for 5 3's alone in the 1st half to help the Lions put the Tigers into a 49-36 hole heading into the locker rooms. While CCC was markedly better in the 2nd half, playing the Lions even after the break, the deficit proved to be too much to overcome.

For Monix, it was the 5th game this season in which he has scored in double figures. The Clarksdale native grabbed 6 rebounds and dished out 4 dimes in what was one of his best all-around games this season.

Bronson added 9 rebounds to go along with his 15 points, and Forrest was once again on point from deep, knocking down 4 3's in the contest. EMCC was led by Daniel Simmons, who finished with 22.

The loss was the 18th of the year for the Tigers. They will continue to try to earn their first MACJC North win this Thursday vs. Northwest. The game will be played in Clarksdale. Tipoff in The Pinnacle is slated for 8 pm.
