Coach Kareem Moore
A lively and ambitious Kareem Moore aims to continue passing along his passion for life and extensive knowledge of the sport of football. Moore draws from his playing experience playing professionally for the National Football League’s (NFL) Washington Redskins to properly train his student-athletes.
Moore credits being coached and mentored by some of the greatest NFL and college football coaches in the last decade who were great recruiters and program builders such as Ed Orgeron, David Cuttcliffe, Tony Hughes, and Steve Ellis to name a few.
His dedication to understanding the backfield paid dividends for five all state student-athletes. In 2015, when his unit at Northeast Mississippi Community College, which ranked second in the Magnolia State and was also among the top 25 in the National Junior College Athletic Association (NJCAA), collected 11 forced turnovers for a defense that totaled 23 takeaways. Moore also coached All-State defensive backs Juwan Taylor (Alcorn University), Jordan Strong (Coastal Carolina University), and Sam Williams (University of Mississippi).
Under Moore’s leadership and support, he has had over sixty players inked scholarships with numerous NCAA Division I and Division I-AA institutions: D’Jordan Strong Coastal Carolina, Mackenro Alexander with Iowa State University and Juwaun Taylor with Alcorn State University. In 2021, one of Moore’s proteges D’Jordan Strong was named to the prestigious Jim Thorpe Award Preseason watch list for the 2021 season. The list includes 40 of the nation’s top defensive backs, also was named to the Preseason All-Sun Belt first-team honors, as well as being named to the preseason All-Sun Belt first team by Pro Football Focus (PFF) College Football.
