Coach Travis Macon

Travis Macon

The 2022 football season marks Travis Macon’s third campaign as CCC’s head football coach.

Coach Macon and his coaching staff have changed the narrative surrounding Coahoma football. The Tigers were 3-24 (1-17 North) from 2017-19, but saw an instant turnaround under Macon as Coahoma went 3-2 in 2020.

Prior to arriving at Coahoma, Macon was an assistant coach at Northeast Mississippi CC and Northwest Mississippi CC.

Macon coached at Northeast Mississippi from 2008-13. He was the offensive line coach at NEMCC in 2008, but transitioned to the defensive line throughout the remainder of his tenure with Northeast. NEMCC snapped a six-year playoff drought during the 2011 season.

Before arriving at CCC, Macon spent five years as the defensive line coach at Northwest. In 2017, the Rangers boasted the MACCC’s top scoring defense (19.5 PPG) and second-ranked total defense (302.3 yards per game).

Macon has been married to his wife, Deimara, for nearly 15 years. The couple has three children: Haleih, Brian, and Ambrielle.
