Selina Reid serves as the director of athletics, entering her 17th year in athletics administration at Coahoma Community College. Through strategic leadership, student-athlete support, and campus collaboration, she continuously strengthens the college's athletics programs.
 
Administrative Impact
Reid has successfully secured significant funding for the institution, assisting with grant initiatives like the Fit for Life Healthy Campus Initiative ($499,780) and the Dating and Domestic Violence Prevention Program ($289,304). In addition to her administrative duties, she has served as an online adjunct instructor in the Health, Physical Education and Recreation Department for nearly two decades.
 
Before Administration
Reid originally joined the institution in 2004 as a first aid and CPR instructor for the Workforce Development Center and spent two years as an aerobics instructor in the college's fitness center. In August 2007, she became the first full-time head athletic trainer at Coahoma, overseeing the sports medicine program. She also spent 10 years volunteering as an athletic trainer for Coahoma Agricultural High School. Promoted to the college's first assistant athletic director in 2010, she was later elevated to director of athletics.
 
Honors and Personal
A native of Rienzi, Mississippi, Reid was featured in the Clarksdale Press Register's Women in Business special edition in 2012, and Training & Conditioning magazine highlighted her in 2007. In 2026, Blue Mountain Christian University honored her with the Johnnie Armstrong Alumni Award. An active member of the community, she serves on numerous campus committees. She and her husband, Charles F. Reid Jr. of Clarksdale, Mississippi, have two children, Nyla and Nyles.
