Coahoma Volleyball opened historic chapter with exhibition match against Copiah-Lincoln

Tigers faced the Wolves in a First ever Volleyball Match for both Teams

WESSON, Miss. — Coahoma Community College Volleyball officially took the court for the first time Thursday evening, marking a historic milestone for the newest addition to Tiger Athletics.
The Lady Tigers traveled to Copiah-Lincoln Community College for an exhibition matchup against the Wolves as Coahoma prepares for its inaugural intercollegiate volleyball season. The exhibition served as the program's first opportunity to compete against another collegiate opponent and put months of preparation, training, and team-building into action.

Copiah-Lincoln ultimately earned a 3-0 victory, but the result represented only one part of a much larger moment for Coahoma. The exhibition provided the inaugural roster of young women with valuable experience as the program continues to establish its identity and build chemistry ahead of the regular season. For both teams, playing in their first collegiate match, the night was an opportunity to experience the pace, intensity, and demands of college volleyball while identifying areas for continued growth.

The matchup represented the next step in head coach Crawford's vision for a program being built from the ground up and establishing the foundation for future generations of Lady Tigers Volleyball players. Despite the exhibition result, our Lady Tigers leave Wesson with valuable experience and a clearer understanding of what it will take to compete at the collegiate level.

The historic first exhibition match is now in the books, and the next chapter of Coahoma Volleyball begins with the Lady Tigers continuing to prepare for their inaugural season.

The next game for our Lady Tigers is Wednesday, August 26th at 6 pm against the Northwest Community College Lady Rangers in Senatobia, Miss. This is their official start to the season, so let's get ready to travel and show our support.
