The CCC women's basketball team fell 65-51 at Mississippi Gulf Coast on Wednesday, March 1, which ends Coahoma's season. The Lady Tigers entered the matchup having won three of their past four games with those wins occurring by at least eight points.
MGCCC outscored Coahoma 23-11 in the opening quarter. Coahoma was only outscored by two points throughout the remainder of the game, but the first quarter deficit was ultimately too much for CCC to overcome.
Tiara Abron and
Elishia Wilson each recorded a team-leading 15 points. Wilson tallied a double-double as the forward recorded 13 rebounds

Janiya Jones scored eight points to go along with seven rebounds and two steals for head coach
Stephanie Murphy's team.
Jamyia Bowen registered seven points for CCC, while
Jamea Smith and
Sequoia Bouldin also scored for Coahoma.
The Lady Tigers close the 2022-23 season 13-10 (8-6 MACCC); Mississippi Gulf Coast is now 17-5 (11-3 MACCC).
