The CCC women's basketball team picked up a road conference win on Thursday night at Mississippi Delta.
The Lady Tigers allowed just 32 points, and won the game by double digits. The final score was 42-32 Coahoma.
CCC led by one point after three quarters of play, but the Maroon and White outscored MDCC 15-6 in the fourth quarter to get the 10-point win.
Coahoma's
Janiya Jones tallied a double-double with 18 points and 11 rebounds. Jones was 5-of-9 from 3-PT range.
Tiara Abron was CCC's second-leading scorer with 14 points off 7-of-15 shooting from the floor.
Tiana Abron,
Sequoia Bouldin,
Jamea Smith, and
Elishia Wilson also scored for Coahoma.
The Lady Tigers are now 12-8 (8-5 MACCC) this season; MDCC is 13-11 (5-8 MACCC).
Coahoma hosts Northeast Mississippi on Tuesday, Feb. 21. That matchup is slated to begin at 6:00 p.m. Following that, the Lady Tigers' regular season concludes at Pearl River on Thursday, Feb. 23.
