The CCC women's basketball team hosted No. 10 Jones College on Monday, Feb. 13, at the Pinnacle. The Lady Tigers trailed 31-17 at halftime as Jones went on to win the game 68-41.

Coahoma's Janiya Jones was the team's leading scorer with 14 points. Jones also recorded five rebounds and three steals.

CCC guard Tiara Abron was the Lady Tigers' second-leading scorer. The sophomore scored nine points to go along with three assists. Elishia Wilson led the Triple C in rebounds with nine, while also registering six points and three assists.

Jamea Smith recorded six points and seven rebounds for CCC. Jamyia Bowen and Sequoia Bouldin also scored points for Coahoma.

The Lady Tigers are now 10-8 (6-5 MACCC) this season; Jones College is 19-3 (11-0 MACCC).

CCC plays at Mississippi Delta on Thursday, Feb. 16. That matchup is slated to begin at 6:00 p.m.
