The CCC women's basketball team played against Jones College on Thursday in the semifinals of the NJCAA Region 23 Tournament. The game was played at Mississippi College.
Jones led 13-4 with 4:06 remaining in the first quarter, but Coahoma countered with a 7-2 run. The Lady Tigers trailed 15-11 after the opening quarter.
Coahoma outscored the Lady Bobcats 16-11 in the second quarter, which resulted in CCC having a 27-26 lead at halftime.
Tiara Abron scored 10 points for the Lady Tigers in the second quarter
CCC led by as many as four points in the third quarter, but the score was tied 44-44 after three quarter of play. Despite Coahoma's efforts; Jones College went on to win the game 62-54.

Tiara Abron, who had 15 points.
Nakia Cheatham recorded a double-double with 11 points, 10 rebounds, two blocks, and two steals for CCC.
Coahoma is now 21-7 (11-3 MACCC). The Lady Bobcats are 21-7 (10-4 MACCC).
