Box Score The CCC women's basketball team played at East Mississippi Community College on Thursday, Nov. 10, 2022.
Coahoma's Jamyia Bowen led all scorers in the first quarter with six points. The score was tied 11-11 after the opening quarter.
CCC's Elishia Wilson tallied six points in the second quarter, while Coahoma held East Mississippi to seven points. At halftime, Coahoma led 20-18.
Tiara Abron tallied six points in the third quarter for the Lady Tigers, while Janiya Jones connected on a 3-pointer and Elishia Wilson recorded two points. Going into the final quarter of play, CCC trailed 32-31.
The Lady Tigers scored 12 points in the final quarter. Coahoma had the ball trailing by three points with approximately four seconds remaining in the game, but CCC failed to score on the possession. East Mississippi won the game 46-43.
Tiara Abron led the Lady Tigers in scoring with 13 points to go along with five rebounds. Wilson recorded 12 points, while leading the team in rebounds with eight and in blocks with four.
Coahoma is now 1-2 (0-0 MACCC) this season; the EMCC Lady Lions are 1-1 (0-0 MACCC).
CCC's next game is slated to be against Baton Rouge Community College inside of the Pinnacle on Tuesday, Nov. 15. The matchup features the Lady Tigers' first home game of the 2022-23 season.
