MOORHEAD - The CCC Lady Tiger basketball squad sent out the 2015-16 season with a bang at MS Delta Thursday night, earning a 76-75 OT win courtesy of a game-winning bank shot by freshman Janesha Lee. Lee, a native of Webb, would finish with a season-high 16 points and 8 assists.

The Lady Tigers fell behind early, trailing 35-16 at the break. But the shots started to fall in the 2nd half, and Lee provided all of her points in the second half to lead a furious comeback effort. CCC would tie it up late and, after a tremendous steal on the defensive end, Lee was fouled and had a chance to win the game from the free throw line with 1.5 seconds left in regulation. Though she could not connect on either foul shot, she would have a chance to be a hero in OT.

With the team trailing by 1 with 15 seconds to go in the extra period, Lee drove to the bucket and capitalized on a floater from inside 8 feet to help the squad notch its 5th and final win of the year and 3rd in MACJC North play.

CCC also got huge contributions from Melvinisha Jenkins, who poured in 19 points and pulled down 10 boards. Carnita Hammond (12 points, 11 rebounds) and Eugenia Gilliam (11 points, 11 rebounds) also registered double-doubles for CCC.

The Lady Trojans were led by Kenya Arnold and TaKyla Dukes, who each netted 10 points.
