FULTON - CCC Tigers fell to the Itawamba Indians Thursday evening in Fulton 87-53. Shannon Bailey dropped 3 3-pointers for the 4th straight game.
The Tigers played the Indians tight in the first half, dueling back-and-forth with the home squad, who came in with 10 wins overall this season. The Indians dominated the interior game, but 8 first half points by Dewuan Fowler kept CCC within striking distance at 34-25 going to the locker room.
Itawamba would clamp down on the defensive end and explode on the offensive in the 2nd though, outscoring the Tigers 53-28 in the game's second 20 minutes. The ICC side was led by Quenten Taylor, who dropped 19 points, and Howard Thomas, who posted a 15-point, 11-board double-double.
Bailey racked up all 11 of his points in the second half. He has now made 19 3's over the last 4 games. CCC got 28 points from their reserves in the loss.
The Tigers (4-14, 1-6 MACJC North) return home to face Holmes on Monday. Tip in the men's game is slated for 8 pm.
