Bossier Cavs Too Much For Tigers In Shreveport

LaTerrence Henderson with a season-high 22

SHREVEPORT - The Tigers battled hard but were defeated by Bossier Parish 97-82 Saturday at the Southern Classic. Sophomore LaTerrence Henderson finished with 22 points, his highest total of the season, and Da'Quan Forrest would pour in 17 in the effort.

CCC, looking to salvage a game at the Classic in Shreveport, went down early, as Bossier used 9 first-half 3's to build a 52-38 advantage. Stepping up the full-court defense in the second half, CCC was able to ramp up the pressure but could not trim the deficit significantly. The loss was the third in a row for the team after defeating Meridian on Monday.

The Tigers were led early by Moses Hall, who racked up a season-high 11 points on 4 of 8 shooting from the field. He also grabbed 12 rebounds to complete his first double-double of the 2015-16.

For Henderson, it was his 2nd 20-point performance of the year. 20 of his 22 came in the comeback effort during the second half. Forrest, who canned 4 triples, finished with at least 3 makes from beyond the arc for the 4th time this season. Shannon Bailey, in his second start of the year, checked in with a dozen points, all via 3-pointer.

Bossier was led by Kentrell Hardy, who had 15 points. 5 Cavaliers finished in double figures in the scoring department. It was the 2nd win for BPCC this year.

The Tigers will look to get back on track tonight vs. East Central. Tip will be at 8 pm in The Pinnacle.
