Coahoma Community College

James E. Miller Stadium

James E. Miller Stadium is prominently located on Coahoma Community College's beautiful campus. It features a turf field, seating behind each sideline, and multiple press box rooms.

The venue is proudly named after James E. Miller, who served as CCC's second president from 1966-79. Miller taught English prior to inheriting that administrative role.

Coahoma Community College was founded in 1949 with the intent to provide even greater educational opportunities for the local youth and adults.

Prior to that, Coahoma Agricultural High School was established in 1924. B.F. McLaurin was serving as the first superintendent of CAHS during the establishment of CCC, and played a large role in founding the college.

McLaurin was named CCC’s first president, and held that role from 1949-66.

When it was time to choose Coahoma's second president, McLaurin strongly campaigned for Miller.
