JONESBORO, Arkansas — CCC Track enjoyed another monumental day in Jonesboro Saturday. Davion Taylor qualified for the NJCAA national championships in Hutchinson, Kansas with a time of 10.63 despite rainy conditions and temperatures below 50 degrees.

Taylor became the 2nd CCC Track athlete to qualify individually for the 100 championships, joining teammate Ian Thomas. Jauan Addison narrowly missed out on becoming the 3rd, posting a 10.69 in the 100, just 0.05 seconds from qualifying. Taylor's 10.63 was the 2nd fastest overall time at the meet, and Addison's 10.69 was the 4th fastest.

The day was also a banner one for the men's 4x100 team made up by Addison, Joseph Collins, Taylor, and Thomas. The squad posted a season-best 41.35 to beat units from Memphis, Grambling and Arkansas State and reset its best time for 2017. 

Joshua Hall posted a top-5 time at 51 flat in the 400m. The men's 4x400 team of Hall, Romario Marshall, Akeem Marshall, and Collins took first by clocking in at 3:19.35.

CCC Track has now posted 3 individual national qualifying times and 2 relay national qualifying times this season. The men's 4x100 and 4x400 teams as well as Thomas (100m), Taylor (100m) and Addison (200m) will all participate in the NJCAA National Championship Meet in Hutchinson, Kansas May 18-May 20.

CCC Track concludes its 2017 regular season at the University of Memphis with an all-day meet April 29th. Full results from this weekend's meet at Arkansas State are available by clicking HERE.
