CLARKSDALE— The Coahoma Community College Football Program will hold a tryout Friday, April 8th at James E. Miller Stadium, 3240 Friars Point Road, Clarksdale, Mississippi 38614.
Kickers/punters/long snappers will register starting at 10 am. The kicking tryout session will last from 11 am to 1 pm.
All other positions register starting at 1 pm. Their tryout session will run from 2 pm to 4 pm.
Head Coach Steve Miller will be on hand with his staff to assist in evaluating players. The goal is to find one or more players to compete for a 2016 camp roster spot.
Tryouts will consist of drills, extra points, field goals and will be conducted on field turf. A $20 registration fee will be charged and a waiver release form will need to be completed and signed during registration. All players must have an updated medical physical on hand in order to participate.
Pre-registration is highly recommended and is available HERE. Prospective players may download PDF versions of the registration form and liability waiver HERE and HERE. They will need to provide: name, height, weight, playing experience, telephone number and address. Bring $20 cash, check or money order to the tryout. Checks and money orders should be made out to "Coahoma Community College Football Program".
All interested are asked to bring: an up-to-date medical physical; a one-time $20 application fee; the release form (can be completed at the tryout). To workout you will need to bring cleats, shorts, and tennis shoes. The team will not supply any workout gear by rule. Any game film and/or player bios must be submitted in advance to Coach Bam Bryant at tbryant@coahomacc.edu.
